Hey guys, how are we feeling this week? I’ve made it through yarn Spaghetti, detangled myself and that pesky purple yarn and I’ve been making a super cute little projects for you using those pesky scraps you have left at the end of a project. Today we are making a pom pom garland! Perfect for sprucing up your house, decorating a child’s room or even for a party or DIY wedding!

There are so many ways to make pom poms, and I would love to go through each of them with you… however hobbycraft have such an in depth tutorial on the different ways to make them that you may as well check that out: Here.

Pom Pom Garland

Supplies Needed

Different colours of yarn

Pom pom maker (or your chosen method of making pom poms)

Scissors

Yarn needle

Method

Step 1

Make pom poms using your favourite method. Ok this step is a cop out. Wrap a lot of yarn around your pom pom maker. Like a lot a lot. You want them to be lovely and puffy. Close your pom pom maker and cut all the way around before tying another piece of yarn through the middle to secure it

Step 2

Take some time to trim all your pom poms into perfect shapes. It’s the little things that count and perfectly round pom poms make a perfectly polished garland!

In pride of place with my favourite books

Step 3

Using a yarn needle thread a very long piece of yarn through all your pom poms. Spread the pom poms out as wide as you want them and hang your garland up for the world to see!

My Prickles approves!

I know. Super easy tutorial but it makes something that is so super pretty! They are really perfect for brightening up a room or party or even (hush hush) a DIY wedding….

Now that I’ve got the hang of making pom poms I want to make ALL the pom pom crafts! What are your favourite things to make with pom poms?

These yarn pom pom garlands are a great way to help decorate. I like how you can use whatever colors or even just use up leftover yarn. Stopping by from the #HomeMattersParty linkup.
