The problem

The problem was, as I was gluing on my corners the glue just wasn’t strong enough to hold them in place while they dried. So my corners kept popping up and I needed to hold them by hand until the glue was dried a little. Not on. I tell you. I did try to place something heavy on top of them but it just wouldn’t push down hard enough.

The problem is the pressure needs to be very focussed to keep the glue in place before it dries.

The Solution

Place a magnet on either side of your project to keep it in place

No seriously magnets. If you get those tiny really strong ones such as theseΒ and place one on either side of your work they hold it in place perfectly! If I do say so myself I am a genius! And if you do get the strong ones they can hold through even thick materials such as wood as you can see below when I used them to glue a chipped piece of wood in place!

Strong magnets save the say!

And there is todays super simple tip! What are your favourite crafting hacks?

  1. Mommy says:

Lol just filing under ‘why the blooming heck did I not think of that’ πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ (I raised a genius, I’ll make do with that lol)
I also add a strip of double sided tape to a lot of projects, and then the wet glue (and sometimes glue stick too). But my fridge door is getting looted that’s for sure πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

    1. Haha honestly, it was like a light bulb went off!! Like why wasn’t I doing this sooner?! I thought of it on the last wedding invite πŸ™ˆ talk about annoying
