80 year old in a 28 year old’s body. Passionate about cooking and crochet!
I have been crocheting for around 3 years now; I have made gifts for friends and their children and recently began to take commissions for my work. I follow patterns mostly but have started to improvise on my work and am beginning to experiment in pattern writing. My most crocheted projects are baby blankets and i get a great deal of satisfaction from creating an item that will hopefully be treasured for years. I have begun to branch out into baby accessories – particularly hats and although I have tried shoes I find being left handed presents an extra challenge with shoes.
I am left handed and so any patterns I write will be from the point of view of a left-hander however I will try to make them accessible for all!
Hookin’ and cookin’ seems to sum up my life; if I’m not crocheting I’m in the kitchen. I specialise in making quick pasta dishes, thrifty risottos and meals from leftovers. I’m a sucker for a recipe book meaning our house is currently overflowing with them; won’t stop me from buying the next Mary Berry book that crosses my path.
I’m always looking for suggestions or input for my patterns or suggestions for the blog. So if you have any suggestions or just want to show me something you’ve made feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or use my contact me page.
